Because I believe in Kairos as much as if not more than in Kronos, I went back in time as “Stella Moonbeam” to the Laurel Canyon and Hebrides of 1971 and made an album called “Hinterlands” (those uncharted places that lie beyond the visible).
This is a guitar-voice-driven folk album (using my dad’s 1967 and mom’s 1969 guitars and wearing a Gunne Sax from the early ‘70s from a local thrift store) of four, original songs, one hybrid original-trad folk, and three trad folk Child Ballads and / or Rouds that I mostly made from April-October of this year (or, as mentioned, 1971). I wove in my field recordsings of birds and crickets into various tracks.
